Oil and Gas Veteran Jourdan Raacke Joins Guice Offshore Team as Vice President

Guice Offshore Supply Vessels Serve Gulf of Mexico Oil and Gas

With the recent expansion of its fleet, Guice Offshore (GO) is growing fast.  As a nationwide leader in the dynamically positioned mini supply vessel market, Guice Offshore has provided the offshore oil and gas industry with a variety of services for years.

Now that a significant amount of plug and abandonment (P & A) work is expected to kick off in the Gulf of Mexico, Guice Offshore recently onboarded Jourdan Raacke, a second-generation oilfield executive who grew up in the Gulf of Mexico oil and gas industry.  Most recently, Raacke worked for the Halliburton Corporation overseeing its plug and abandonment division.  His exceptional sales and marketing leadership in the oil and gas business runs very deep.

Now as Vice President of Oil and Gas Operations at Guice Offshore, Raacke will focus on serving GO oil and gas clients, whose well engineers and construction managers seek out his logistical support and consulting for their myriad projects.

“It’s been very rewarding to follow in my Dad’s footsteps,” Raacke said.   “I’m gratified I can continue that tradition for Guice Offshore.”

Meanwhile, with the U.S. offshore wind energy industry booming, Vice President of Sales and Marketing David Scheyd will focus on marine specialty markets outside the oil and gas industries.

Along with the plug and abandonment work, Raacke will also help Guice Offshore oil and gas clients with platform construction, production and heavy well intervention, which involves topside construction and pipeline flushing, along with hydraulic workovers using snubbing for the heavy jobs, or wirelines and coiled tubing for smaller ones.

For the past month, Raacke has been familiarizing himself with the details of each Guice Offshore vessel, meeting crew members to learn their individual talents and capabilities, along with those working on oil platforms served by Guice Offshore subsidiary GO Marine Services (GOMS), which provides supply cooks, galleyhands and riggers mainly in the Gulf of Mexico.  Raacke is also connecting with Guice Offshore clients to introduce himself and better understand their needs.

“As you can imagine, the Gulf of Mexico is very busy,” Guice Offshore Principal Billy Guice said.  “Jourdan will provide a dependable source of support for our clients, along with guidance and mentorship for our entire GO and GOMS team.”

How Guice Offshore Supply Vessels Serve the Oil and Gas Industry

Guice Offshore’s (GO) fleet of support vessels provide a necessary and critical component of the offshore oil exploration and gas production (E&P) environment and are utilized in almost every phase of the extraction process from survey and drilling to production and abandonment.  Guice Offshore maintains a strong presence in the northern Gulf of Mexico E&P sector.  Our hard-working vessels are most often employed in support of Platform and Pipeline Operations (production activities, logistics, diving, ROV, inspection, maintenance, repair, plug and abandonment), however we also participate in certain early phases of the process like surveying.
