At any given time, Guice Offshore (“GO”) vessels may be anywhere in North or South America, or somewhere in between!  Our crews and staff support are constantly on the move!  We’re looking for a qualified Human Resources (HR) manager to assist! 

GO regularly provides vessel and technical services to a broad spectrum of critical industries like aerospace, documentary and film; oil and gas; government and military; environmental and disaster response and recovery; inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR); science and research; salvage; geotechnical and surveys; and offshore wind and renewable energy.  Our culture is customer driven with a strong “Can Do” mentality; we address our clients’ needs with a technical approach, enhanced vessel capabilities and experienced crews.  Our goal is to consistently deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective service.

Job Description

As Guice Offshore HR manager, the right candidate will work with our team to identify staffing needs, job specifications, duties, qualifications and individual applicants’ skills. 

He or she will be responsible for activities related to staffing, including identification of candidates, interviewing, hiring decisions, and on-boarding of new employees.

Our HR Manager will oversee and ensure compliance with our annual employee performance review process, as well as ensure compliance with federal and state-regulated employment practices.

He or she will function as our internal consultant for managers and employees regarding all aspects of employee and labor relations, including but not limited to development and training, discipline, and terminations.

Our HR Manager also provides assistance for employees with regard to health benefits, pension and 401(k) questions.  Updating and maintaining employee records is part of the job, along with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

3-5 years preferred HR Management or equivalent experience

Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook

Operating knowledge of DISA, ISNet World, PEC, NCMS

OSHA reporting

Preferred:

Previous experience with Merchant Mariner credentials and licensing.
